Viridis E3, in partnership with the International Living Future Institute, launched an exciting public lecture and training tour of Australia that was run in November this year. The tour provided an opportunity for sustainability professionals to gain a first hand understanding and detailed training on the ground-breaking Living Building Challenge program, widely recognised as the world’s most advanced and stringent green building program. The Living Building Challenge is a philosophy, advocacy tool, and certification program that addresses development at all scales and defines the most advanced measure of sustainability in the built environment possible today.

Jason McLennan, CEO of the International Living Future Institute and founder of the Living Building Challenge, presented the workshop trainings and public lectures. It was the first time these workshops have been held in Australia.

The 1 day Understanding the Living Building Challenge workshop will provides an in-depth introduction to the program, including discussion of contextual information such as development patterns and density, and regulatory, financial, behavioral and technological barriers and incentives.
